It is a clay-bound sodium form of Type A molecular sieve. 4A molecular sieve will adsorb molecules with critical diameters up to 4 angstroms. It adsorbs water, NH3. H2S, CO2. methanol, and ethane but not larger molecules like propane.

Application:this is used for dehydration of natural gas, NGL, and other hydrocarbon streams, particularly in regenerative systems where co-adsorption of sulfur compounds and CO₂ is not a concern. It also effectively removes methanol and provides excellent performance under dynamic and hydrothermal conditions.

Application:this is a 4A molecular sieve (sodium form of A-type zeolite) used for general dehydration of gases and liquids, including hydrogen, CO₂, air, inert gases, and synthesis gas. It effectively removes water, CO₂, ammonia, and methanol, making it ideal for regenerative drying systems and also suitable as a packaging desiccant.
Molecular Sieve Type 4A
It is a clay-bound sodium form of Type A molecular sieve. 4A molecular sieve will adsorb molecules with critical diameters up to 4 angstroms. It adsorbs water, NH3. H2S, CO2. methanol, and ethane but not larger molecules like propane.
Z4S can be applied for both liquid and gas dehydration. Such as natural gas, air, propane, LPG and other hydrocarbon dehydration.
Z4S can be regenerated for re-use by purging at elevated temperatures with regeneration gas. The degree of regeneration is dependent on the temperature and humidity of the regeneration gas.
