It is a clay-bound sodium form of Type A molecular sieve. Z3S molecular sieve will adsorb molecules with critical diameters up to 3 angstroms. It adsorbs water and ethanol, but not larger molecules like propane.

Application:
This is primarily used for drying cracked gas and unsaturated hydrocarbon streams (like ethylene, propylene, and butene), especially in processes where minimizing carbonyl sulfide formation in the presence of O₂ and H₂S is critical. It selectively adsorbs water while excluding larger molecules.

Storage:
When stored in original sealed packages in a cool, dry condition, the product has a shelf life of three years if packaged in big bags and five years if packaged in drums

Molecular Sieve Type 3A
It is a clay-bound sodium form of Type A molecular sieve. Z3P molecular sieve will adsorb molecules with critical diameters up to 3 angstroms. It adsorbs water and ethanol, but not larger molecules like propane.
Z3P can be regenerated for re-use by purging at elevated temperatures with regeneration gas. The degree of regeneration is dependent on the temperature and humidity of the regeneration gas.
